Jack Black mini-bio: Jack Black is an Golden Globe nominated American actor, comedian and musician. Black and Kyle Gass are the comedy/rock duo Tenacious D. He is considered a core member of the Frat Pack, a group of comedians active in today's Hollywood films, though unlike several of the groups members he is also in demand for Hollywood blockbusters and indie films. Black took on small roles in The Cable Guy, Bob Roberts, Demolition Man, Mars Attacks!, Waterworld, The Jackal, Bye, Bye Love, Dead Man Walking, Enemy of the State and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer before a breakthrough role as Barry, the pretentious co-worker to John Cusack's record store owner in High Fidelity.

Tropic Thunder - one of the best comic performances in recent memory. I hope people "get" the different levels of humor in the performance. Maybe everyone should see a dozen movies showing how low someone would sink to get their next "fix" to truly appreciate the "tied to a tree" scene. Gotta have the age, maturity and background to really get it.
