MCT:August 11, 2008I really didn't get what all the hype was about this one. Supposedly it was like Tom Hanks' acting was made of Jesus cookies and Buddha butter or something. All I saw was the dude sitting on a beach talking to a beachball for an hour and a half, and then going back home and no one wants him around. Wah.

Really liked this movie. Have even watched it a few times. I like the storyline & it makes you think about what you'd do if you were him. Well done. Tom Hanks was a good choice.

Dude, what was up with the ending. It ruined the whole movie. If there had been some conclusion, it would've been a great movie.

Just a really, really good movie. Not incredibly deep but has depth, some philosophical undertones and a very amusing and yet often moving bit of film making.

You are so pulled into his world that you think nothing of talking to a soccer ball. You completely sympathize with him. His performance in this was wonderful.

tom hanks' scene with the volleyball is truly amazing!!! watching him losing the volleyball in the middle of the storm made me cry too! most of all, this is one rare story of a love which sustained him amidst hopelessness... a promise that was unintentionally broken... a love which gave him new hope to move on and live... i want to watch this again and again...

:) I WATCHED CAST AWAY LAST NIGHT WITH MY FRIENDS. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS MOVIE. TOM HANKS IS AN AWESOME ACTOR.
