it was decent, not as crap as i thought it would be... a little short
Yeah I saw it and I could pick out people in it but... the actual actors did a better job then the cartoon part.
"Remember how people talked about the Star Wars prequels like they were the worst movies ever made, when really, come on, they weren't THAT bad? The Clone Wars actually IS that bad."
Taking place between episode 2 and 3 of the Star Wars saga, Anakin Skywalker and his newly appointed Padowan Jedi must rescue the son of Jabba the Hutt. Jabba?s son is the key to the struggle between the Federation and the forces of Count Dooku. If Anakin and his Padowan can rescue Jabba?s son and return him to Jabba, they can seal alliance between the federation and The Hutt clan that can give them edge in the continuing struggle. Though Count Dooku has other ideas and plans to pin the whole kidnapping on the Federation and The Jedi Knights.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an animated feature serving as a pilot for a new animated show about the Star Wars Universe. Many hardcore fans will be displeased with this effort as they were with The Ewok movies, but the movie does have some redeeming qualities. The action scenes are intense and animated extremely well. The movie will disappoint some with the child like dialogue to please the families that take their children to see the movie. Since the original trilogy fans and critics alike have been hard pressed on George Lucas. Unfortunately to most, people do not realize the quality of what people are viewing now is no different than what they viewed in the original trilogy. Star Wars: The Clone Wars receives three and half light sabers out of five for being a solid addition to the Star Wars Universe.
It wasn't bad, just it wasn't good. The movie was more suited to be a series of TV episodes or something of that sort than a movie, it was too small scale and a bit boring at points. i liked the general look of the animation, but some of the characters were a bit square.
:For Shane Detert and anyone else wondering:
The "Star Wars : The Clone Wars" TV series begins on Cartoon Network on Friday, October 3rd!!!
May the force be with us all...
IM A HUGE STAR WARS NERD, THE ANIMATION WAS AWESOME, EXCEPT FOR ANAKIN, LOVED THE STUFF WITH THE CLONES, REALLY SUCKED GREIVOUS DIDNT HAVE ANY SCENES, DIDNT REALLY LIKE ALL THE NEW MUSIC WHERE WAS ALL THE STAR WAR THEMES? I THOUGHT THE STORY WAS KINDA WEAK I REALLY HOPE IN THE FALL THE EPISODES GET BETTER WHEN THE ANIMATED SERIES STARTS. THERE COULD OF BEEN MORE RECONZIED CHARACTERS IN JABBA PALACE. OVERALL THIS MOVIE WAS GOOD NOT GREAT. AT ALL IM NOT SAYING THIS MOVIE SUCKED I THINK IT JUST HAD SOME HOLES THAT NEED TO BE FILLED, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN THE ANIMATED SERIES HITS ON CARTOON NETWORK?
My Dad and me are going to see this movie to night at forget what time it we that we are seeing it.My friend seen it and see said it was good but see things every thing is good..
i think they should use ewan mc gregor and hayden christiansen's voices fo this movie since they were both in the actual clone wars movie...but that's just my opinion!
Lol, anyone notice that the Dark Knight was still playing on more screens at their local theatre than this one?
I'm not going to bother seeing it in the theatres i've decided. Too much re-hash, too much retcon. I really don't have any desire to see this new Padawan, just like "Starkiller." Star Wars sadly cannot keep what was common knowledge for us 30 years ago true canon; George has to keep adding on crap to the universe, along with the league of horrible writers that keep out churning trash (that people surprisingly buy). I'm not dissing all of Star Wars, but like anything that I have an option to see or not, I see no reason to waste my time or really regard this seriously (like I do with the horrible comics, books, and MOST of the games). I'll say this - I did like Episode 3 more than the other prequels and I DO like the premise of the Clone Wars. However, I'd much rather see the rise of the Empire, Mr. Lucas. You couldn't even represent that well in Episode III.
So bad. George Lucas seriously needs to just drop Star Wars now. He's made his money from this franchise. He should just move on and maybe start on something new.
