A classic
An absolute joy ride! This movie has just the right balance of sillyness. They don't too many movies like this now and days. It just goes to show how times in the movie bussiness have changed... sigh
That a great movie but a good movie and definitely one that my generation loved. A group of kids go searching for pirate's treasure that will save their homes from foreclosure. Throw in some bandits, a deformed guy who loves baby Ruth candy bars, and some teen romance and you have the Goonies.
Michael "Mikey" Walsh (Sean Astin) is along his friends named Richard "Data" Wang (Ke Huy Quan), Lawrence "Chunk" Cohen (Jeff Cohen), & Clark "Mouth" Devereaux (Corey Feldman) thru the family attic to find treasure map leads to the secret treasure of legendary 17th century pirate One-Eyed Willie joined by Brandon Walsh (Josh Brolin), Brandon's crush named Andrea "Andy" Carmichael (Kerri Green), & Andy's friend named Stephanie "Stef" Steinbrenner (Martha Plimpton) to follow the tunnel to escape onboard the legendary pirate One-Eyed Willie's ship is concealed in a large cave was blocked off from the sea by a collapsed roof. The Goonies are found on the beach by a police search party to reunited their families. Mikey's marble bag is revealed to be full of a large mass of precious stones hidden inside. A Museum Curator Irving Walsh (Keith Walker) inspired his son; Mikey with the tales about One-Eyed Willie to keep a multitude of oddities & ancient relics in the family attic of the Walsh Family residence to concern over the Goon Dock's fate.
Such noisy, immature cast members...they like ruin the whole movie. The booby traps and the hideous Sloth dude were great, but the cast mess it all up.
